My name is Jessica Walls and I would like to introduce myself as the WESA School Counselor at WESA. This will be my first year at WESA and I am looking forward to meeting our Bulldogs.

As the School Counselor at WESA, my role is to support all students throughout the school year.

My role includes delivering monthly evidence-based Guidance lessons in all classrooms, responding to students in distress of crisis, and managing and coordinating all 504's at WESA. 

In addition to those responsibilities I will also be coordinating social skills groups, professional development for the staff, and collaborating with all students, staff, and families to continue to make WESA a great place to learn.

Hello Bulldog Families!

As a school social worker, I have the pleasure and honor of working with students in the following ways:

• Classroom guidance lessons

• Facilitating groups focused on social skills and emotional regulation skills

• Providing individual counseling and social-emotional support to students

• Providing social-emotional instruction to qualifying special education students

• Assisting with crisis support when needed

I believe that student success is related to a thriving home environment. However, every household has difficult seasons. Thus, I am happy to work with your family in the following ways:

• Support with community resources through partnerships with community agencies for:
  •  Nutrition
  •  Clothing
  • School supplies
  • Holiday assistance 
  • Community-based counseling
  • Financial resources for rent, utilities, etc.
• Support with understanding what behaviors you see at home and how school and home strategies can relate
