Mission Statement
The mission of Widefield Elementary School of the Arts is to provide a safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environment where all students and staff grow through high levels of learning while integrating the arts.
Vision Statement
WESA empowers all staff and students to take thoughtful risks and achieve success in academics, the arts and social-emotional learning. We cultivate strong community partnerships that foster a shared responsibility for meaningful student growth while installing a love for learning.
Innovative Arts
The innovative arts-integrated curriculum at Widefield Elementary nurtures and challenges the whole child— nourishing the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and artistic development of each student. Widefield students achieve academic excellence as they develop a lifelong love of learning.
Through music, art, theatre, and creative movement, our teachers make classroom learning come alive. The school's highly trained arts specialists provide concentrated instruction in drama and music, fine art, and dance.
The arts specialists also collaborate with the classroom teachers to integrate arts into the core curriculum, resulting in flexible and creative thinkers, ready to succeed in school and beyond.
